This handcrafted glass platter features holiday reds and greens and is perfect for holiday dishes. It measures 12-inches by 12-inches.

This platter was created by fusing (or melting) three layers of glass in a kiln; first the base glass, then the pattern pieces and finally, it's capped with a layer of clear glass. Once that fusing is done, the layers of glass become one and that piece is ready to be "formed." The glass is then placed on a mold and fired again in a kiln. The temperature of the second firing is lower and allows the glass to melt, or "slump," into the mold. The base and edges of the platter are then polished to finish off this unique piece of art.

Each platter comes with instructions regarding the care of the glass. It is not recommended that they be placed in a dishwasher or used in a microwave. Hand washing with dish soap and warm water is recommended. Should you choose, a light coating of coconut oil can be applied to the base to ensure the smooth matte finish.
