Canterbury Bells
Canterbury Bells
The name for Canterbury Bells comes from campanula meaning "little bells," an accurate term since the flowers are bell-shaped. Big clusters of bell-shaped blooms cover sturdy stems up to 3 feet tall. They bloom in a mix of soft pink and rich purple, similar to the colors of this eye-catching bead.
This set includes three handcrafted flameworked glass beads. The center focal bead comes with two lavender glass accent beads. The outside dimension of the focal bead measures approximately 17mm with a hole size of approx. 3.25mm. The accent beads are approx. 10mm with a hole of approx. 3.25mm.
**Please note that each bead is individually hand crafted and some slight differences will occur. Sizes and designs may vary slightly. The pictured chain is also not included but is available for purchase here.
The Floral Garden Collection
People plant gardens for many reasons: to please the soul, to challenge the elements, for novelty, or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow. Gardening refreshes the soul. Not only is it therapeutic, but it is also incredibly fulfilling. Nothing compares to the enjoyment of planting, nurturing and reaping what one sows.
I get the same sort of enjoyment out of making these beads. Choosing color schemes that resemble the flowers I remember from my childhood and still plant in my gardens today, nurturing them through the process of flameworking and feeling completely fulfilled when opening the kiln and seeing the beautiful results.
